Developmental Editing
I adore critiquing manuscripts. As a critical thinker with a sharp eye for detail, I love solving problems, from ensuring a fast-yet-balanced pace, tightening plots/subplots, landing epic twists, and giving you the feedback you need to bring those characters to life. I can also help you smooth that prose, strengthen your voice, and help your writing shine.
My specialties are fantasy, dystopian, paranormal, and apocalyptic fiction. I’ve worked with querying, agented, small press, and self-published authors. I can also help with trade medical or psychology books as I have a background in medical/academic publishing.
Editing can be a difficult process, so think of us as a team. I promise to give you the tools you need to take your manuscript to the next level, and I’ll provide example, references, ideas, and multiple ways to tackle issues, and I’m always open to further discussion to really help with those pain points. Keep me in the loop after, too - I always love hearing a client’s success.
Book Reviews
Reviews posted on my blog and youtube channel are always free. I focus on positive reviews with developmental critique, often using the review as a chance to think critically and improve my own writing. I prefer supporting indie writers, whether that involves self-publishing or signed to a small press.
Author Interviews
I’m also looking to interview authors both in video format and as part of my blog. For the written interview, the form is here.
