The Clearing

THE CLEARING is my dystopian debut, published by Evernight Teen. It’s perfect for fans of Hunger Games, with inspiration from The Handmaid’s Tale and Minority Report. I wrote it at university after studying dystopian fiction.

It focuses on Ruby’s struggles in a stagnant village with a fast-paced story that explores difficult choices and the cost of fighting for your beliefs in a corrupt world.

As a Death Examiner, Nell relives the final moments of the dead for a living, but when she's ordered to falsify a royal murder, telling the truth could poison her future—and lying could cost her life.
