Anxious Author Interviews

I’m an anxious author. You’re an anxious author. But you’re still expected to be on social media, promote yourself, and show your face?

Dear graves, let me help you.

Taking the Anxiety out of Interviews

When it comes to talking about books, I’ve been on both side of that interviewing chair. I’ve found it daunting on both sides! It’s just the way I’m wired.

I want to create author interviews with new an emerging authors, especially those who are with small presses or self-publish. You don’t need to be an anxious individual to apply, but know that if you are, that’s okay. I understand.

I want to find a way that all authors can feel comfortable talking about their books. You don’t need to be a good public speaker. You just need to be willing to put yourself out there.

I’m putting together a plan to make that easier.

  • If you are interested, the first step is to reach out.

  • I’ll send you an email with more information and the potential questions, and we can go from there. You can plan your answers, run them past me, or even ask for slightly different ones to make sure you put your best answer forward.

  • If scheduling allows and you think it will be helpful, we can have a no pressure call beforehand to talk about your writing journey.

  • We’ll schedule the interview. We’ll have a chat, and then start recording. If an answer doesn’t feel quite right, we can paused and go at our own pace.

  • I’ll edit up the video into a cohesive interview and post it. I’ll let you know it’s live first. Then you can share it or hide, whatever suits you!

  • I can remove the interview if you’re not comfortable, but hopefully we’ll all be good to go. Then I’ll share it on social media as well.

  • As usual, there is no charge. I want to create something positive for smaller creators to be able to share!
