About Me

Ya fantasy author & Editor

also a #Writementor Mentor and BookTuber

I write about reckless girls in broken worlds with gifts that will be the death of them. But life isn’t all doom and gloom, so my books are also sprinkled with humour and jam packed with magic, much like a really good doughnut. Bon appétit!

To agents who were mysteriously summoned here by a cake-cutting wish, my other project CHARMLESS is also still up for grabs.

Please note, I’m catching up from maternity leave. I might be slow to respond, and I’m not posting as frequently.

The Clearing

I’m delighted to announce The Clearing has been published by Evernight Teen. It’s a YA dystopian adventure set in a village run by psychics. Head here to get your copy! It was awarded editor’s pick at the press, too.

It’s now won an Incipere Book Award and a five star review from Reader’s Favourite!

Reviews

'The ending to this was so good! I totally didn’t see it coming, and I loved how it totally changed everything!' ★★★★★ Sarah, GoodReads top reviewer

'The icing on the cake was the phenomenal plot! Overall, a pretty solid book, and in my opinion, it doesn’t get better than this in the dystopian genre.’ ★★★★★ Reader’s Favourite

'Great book. A real page turner. Couldn’t put it down. A really good dystopian fiction around a central strong female character.' ★★★★★ Anon, Amazon reviewer

A Little bit more about me

By day, I’m a Development Editor for an academic publisher. By night, I review young adult fiction on YouTube and edit fantasy manuscripts of all kinds. Unfortunately, I am never superwoman.

Okay, here are a few more specifics. I have a degree in Psychology, I’ve taught myself guitar—bear that in mind before you ask me to play for you—and before the world closed down, I regularly went bouldering to keep fit. Now I don’t keep fit…
